#10. The Bread of Life

Christ Walking on the Water, Julius Sergius Von Klever, 1880

This week on the Third Hour Podcast, the Gospel of John takes Jesus on a detour to Jerusalem, and we discuss some possible reasons why this narrative is so different from the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Later, Jesus miraculously feeds five thousand, walks on water, and delivers a difficult pronouncement.

We would love it if you would study along with us! Today we're reading from Matthew 13:53 - 14:36, Mark 6, Luke 9:1-17, and John 5 - 6.59. You can find a detailed harmony below.

Next week, the difficult teachings of Jesus will cause many of his followers to depart from his presence, prompting Jesus to ask his disciples "Whom say ye that I am?" Read along with us! We will be studying from Matthew 15-16, Mark 7-8, Luke 9.18-27, and John 6.60-71.
